Originally from France, I am a Machine Learning Researcher at Crafty Apes VFX (NYC branch) and a former Associate Researcher at the Barton Research Group – University of Michigan specialised in Machine Learning and Robotics. My interest lies in the applications of Deep Learning in Human Motion Synthesis, Character Animation and more broadly 3D Computer Graphics. My interest in Computer Graphics stems from my passion for Cinema and Animation. As far back as I can remember, nothing has ever struck me like the immersive and transporting experience of certain films. On the one hand, the inner child in me has always been fascinated by the artistic process behind creating such emotionally impactful experiences. On the other, an endless scientific curiosity has pushed me to pursue engineering studies. As time went by, both my passion for cinema and attraction to the technical aspects of it deepened and things started to make sense when I first worked in VFX and 3D Animation.
